Great bunch of kids working the evening of 1/24/24! Although my boyfriend has been a repeat customer, this was my first visit so I had no clue what I wanted. Very friendly staff helped us decide, patiently answering all my questions. They cleaned up immediately when other diners left, instead of letting the dirty tables sit. We overheard one young man ask a couple of female coworkers to be sure to walk to their cars together at the end of their shift. My boyfriend and I both appreciated his concern for the ladies.
Busy busy busy, order window is not attended full time, tables were bused when they found time on Friday night . To much salt in the meatser pizza well made good ingredients other than that.
The pizza was good. The stuffed bread sticks were good but a bit under cooked in my opinion and would benefit from a golden color. We had the 2 medium for $23. Pepperoni and mushrooms, sausage and green peppers. I think the pizzas could've been baked a few minutes longer as well.
The service was ok. No real issues. We came at 2:30pm though. So not busy at all.
We'll come, back but the 3 strikes rule applies. 1st time is good. 2 more times will tell if it's consistently good.
Paid to have my food and ranch delivered like I have multiple times.A dark haired girl who delivered didn’t handle with much care I guess. Ranch was spilt every, received the bag with the ranch already soaking through. I try not to complain when it comes to fast food like this but common is a little common decency too much to ask for?
Hey Doug. Did you accidentally review this place? Let me correct that. Did you accidentally not leave a review thinking it was a review? I mean, I get it. You have fingers. Your phone lets you do things. Occasionally, those fingers and that phone get into a fight. The result? Nothing. I mean that; nothing. You basically posted a non-review. Felt good? Great. But you added nothing. So, why?
Vernie's remains as Vernie's was and will likely continue to be. Solidly above-average. Not fancy. Filling. Priced well. You don't go there for ambience. Or, maybe you do. I don't. The staff has always ranged from attentive, to somewhat attentive, to aloof, to stoned-out-of-their-gourd. I mean, this is a pizza joint in Longview.
The Meatsa is a heart-stopper. The Veggie is, if you ask them and every other NW joint to stop with the slices of fresh tomatoes, a win for the rabbit crew. The Taco? I hate taco pizza. But I eat it here. I think it might have to do with their generic (Sysco's Casa Salano) sauce and almost/sometimes stale off-brand chips.
This is a tradition for my group. We go here every year. We will keep doing so. Vernie's, don't change. Doug, try writing something. Start with a subject, add a verb, and go to town! Who knows? It might actually turn into a fully formed thought.
Very busy night and they were very accommodating for the wait giving us cheese bread and several extra chicken wings that we had ordered. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Love the sausage and pepperoni. The marinara sauce is outstanding also thank you very much.
I love when you are passing through a little town and find a gem like Vernie's. The pizza was delicious and the price fair for the pizza size/quality. The staff were super nice and helpful. The place would be great for a kids birthday party, in my opinion, as they have lots of tables/space in the dining room.
They serve up an excellent pizza. I love the crust. The garlic ranch dipping sauce for bread sticks sticks is so good I could almost eat it all by itself. (Yum, yum). If you want something on the lighter side, heir vernie's special salad is fresh, flavorful, and definitely filling.
Our wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
The atmosphere could use a little work, and the interior is slightly outdated, but this has nothing to do with preparing an excellent pizza. 😊
